In December of 2009, Sergeant Don “Pappy” Drobil, a patrol supervisor and member of the SWAT unit, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Despite a valiant and courageous battle, Don passed away in April of 2011. Don is survived by his wife and a 4 year old daughter.
Don Drobil was true gentleman and an inspiration to us all. After his passing, the CTPA set up a scholarship Fund in Don’s name. By making a contribution to the Benevolent Fund, you will be contributing to worthy causes such as police families that require assistance due to long term injury or illness, as well as other benevolent causes within our community.
