Following an extensive application process involving the IRS and US Dept. of Treasury, the CTPA obtained its federal tax exempt status and is officially recognized as a 501C (3) non-profit organization/public charity. This was a major milestone achieved by the CTPA which for one, allows for the tax deductibility of donations made to the CTPA.
